Lightning Strike Kills Over Hundred Cattle In Jammu And Kashmir

The Lightening strike killed 107 goats and sheep of nomadic shepherds in Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir. Dozens of other animals were also injured. The dead cattle belonged to Muhammad Iqbal (40 animals died), Jalal ud Din (26 animals died), Haji Mehboob (27 goats died), and Ishtiyaq Ahmed (14 goats died)

Sub Division official, Thannamandi, and District Sheep Husbandry Officer from Rajouri rushed to the spot with the teams. The DC appointed the teams to make an assessment of the losses so that further action could be taken.
