Tamil Nadu: 4 killed, 20 critically injured after bus falls into gorge in Yercaud
Tamil Nadu: In a tragic and unfortunate incident, at least four killed and twenty others were critically injured after a private bus plunged into a gorge in Yercaud in Tamil Nadu's Salem on Tuesday evening.
As per the reports, the private bus was heading to Salem from Yercaud with 56 passengers on board when the dreadful incident took place.
The incident unfolded when the bus approached the 13th hairpin bend, the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to collide with the sidewall.
Subsequently, the bus plunged into the gorge, coming to rest at the 11th hairpin bend, according to officials.
The injured were promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention.
Meanwhile, police officials added, “Yercaud police have filed a complaint and investigation is going on."
