PTC Web Desk: A major protest broke out in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, after a Class 10 student was fatally stabbed by a ninth-grade boy on Tuesday night. The 15-year-old victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased belonged to the Sindhi community, and news of his death sparked outrage among community members, parents, and Hindu organisations. Early Wednesday morning, a large crowd gathered outside the private school where the incident occurred. Activists from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) also joined the demonstrations.

Angry protesters vandalised the school premises and allegedly attacked staff members, demanding accountability from the institution. Tensions escalated further when clashes erupted between demonstrators and the police, prompting the deployment of heavy security at the site to restore order.

The police confirmed that the accused, a ninth-grade student from the Muslim community, has been taken into custody. Legal proceedings are being carried out under the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act.

Meanwhile, parents and Hindu groups have filed formal complaints against the school principal and management, alleging negligence and seeking strict action. The police have assured that a thorough investigation is underway to establish the circumstances that led to the tragic incident.
