PTC News Desk: A helicopter carrying Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav witnessed a technical problem after taking off from Khajuraho airport in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday. According to a party leader, it landed safely after remaining airborne for 10 minutes.

Yadav was scheduled to campaign for his party's candidates in the Sidhi and Chitrakoot assembly seats but had to cancel both events, according to SP national spokesman Yash Bharatiya. Yadav's helicopter remained airborne for ten minutes. He said the helicopter returned to the airport safely around 12.30 p.m. after experiencing some technical difficulties.

Following a spat with the Congress over the lack of a truck ahead of the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections on November 17, the SP president has been aggressively campaigning for his party's candidates.

The SP leader is currently taking out a road in the state's Chhatarpur district.
