Chhattisgarh: 13 killed, several injured as truck collides with trailer in Raipur

Raipur SP Lal Ummed Singh said that the incident happened when the truck was returning from Chauthiya Chhatti after attending an event.

PTC News Desk: At least thirteen people died after a truck full of people collided with a trailer near Saragaon on Raipur-Balodabazar Road in Chhattisgarh, the police said on Monday. Reportedly, the victims were returning from a Chhathi ceremony held in Bana Banarsi village when their vehicle collided with a trailer truck.


Raipur SP Lal Ummed Singh said that the incident happened when the truck was returning from Chauthiya Chhatti after attending an event.


Several people were also injured in the incident and immediately rushed to Dr B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, Raipur.


Police registered a case and the matter is being investigated, Gaurav Singh, Raipur district collector said.
