Cyclone Biparjoy: Delhi roads waterlogged as national capital faces brunt of cyclonic storm; watch video

PTC Web Desk: The impact of Cyclone Biparjoy was visible in parts of Delhi as well on Friday, which received light rain and strong winds.

As per the weather department, it is an impact of Cyclone Biparjoy, which made landfall in Gujarat on late Thursday evening. The national capital also witnesses traffic jams and waterlogging in several parts.

The weather department has also predicted thunderstorms in Delhi in the evening. "Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain and gusty winds with speed of 30-40 Km/h would occur over and adjoining areas of isolated places of South Delhi ( Vasant Kunj, Malviyanagar, Kalkaji, Tughlakabad, Chhattarpur, IGNOU, Deramandi), NCR ( Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida)," the IMD said in a tweet.

Meanwhile, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Director General Atul Karwal on Friday said there had been no loss of lives reported after Cyclone Biparjoy made landfall in Gujarat. However, there was a possibility of heavy rainfall in south Rajasthan by this evening.
