IAS officers secretary dies by suicide after jumping from seventh floor of Haryana Secretariat building

PTC News Desk: The secretary of an IAS officer died by suicide after he jumped from seventh floor of the Haryana Secretariat building on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Arora who was Special Senior Secretary to IAS officer Hitesh Meena.
Arora jumped from the seventh-floor terrace of the secretariat around 12.30 pm and died on the spot. Soon after receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and sent the body to the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector 16, for post-mortem.
According to the sources, he was reportedly upset over internal posting. Reportedly, earlier also he attempted committing suicide by jumping from the roof, however timely intervention stopped him in time.
It is being said that Ganesh Das Arora was scheduled to retire in October this year. His wife is posted at the Governor’s House. So far, no statement has been issued by her regarding the incident.
The reason behind this drastic step has not been known yet. No suicide not has been recovered from the spot so far.
