Mumbai shocker: On occasion of Dusshera when people were celebrating across the country by burning the Ravana effigies to flames to mark triumph of good over evil, a spine-chilling incident took place in Maharashtra which sent shockwaves and spread terror, panic and scare among communities.
In a horrific, shocking and unsettling incident from Maharashtra's Raigad district, a 26-year-old son allegedly set his mother on fire after quarreling with her on the issue of preparation of meal.
The dreadful incident unfolded on Tuesday evening on the day of Dusshera in Maharashtra's Raigad district.

The shocking incident took place when 26-year-old an unemployed ITI graduate, Jayesh Namdev Khot was served dinner late by mother due to which he got furious and clash erupted between mother and son.
As the battle heated up, son assaulted mother, dragged her outside and put her on ablaze by using dried leaves and grass.
The incident came to limelight on Wednesday when officials of Ravdanda Police Station rushed to the incident spot after receiving information and admitted woman to nearby hospital but however she succumbed to burn injuries during the treatment.
The victim was identified as Changuna Namdeo Khot.
Taking the swift action into the horrific incident, after conducting investigation, a team Maharashtra officials nabbed accused Jayesh Namdev Khot from the nearby forest.

Such spine-chilling incidents also raised safety concern over trusting our own children and family members.
