Petrol, diesel price hiked for 5th day in a row; check revised rates

Petrol Diesel Price Hike Today: The State-owned oil companies on Saturday hiked petrol and diesel prices for the fifth consecutive day taking it to an all-time high.

After a hike in Petrol and Diesel price today, the petrol has reached close to Rs 100 per liter as the prices have been hiked by 25-30 paise in the metro cities. On the other hand, the diesel prices have been hiked by 35 paise.

Petrol Diesel Price Hike Today: State-owned oil companies hiked petrol and diesel prices for fifth consecutive day taking to all-time high.

The revised rates of fuels get implemented from 6 am. The fuel rates fluctuate on a daily basis, depending on the international crude prices along with foreign exchange rates.

Meanwhile, the government refused to provide any relief. On Wednesday, the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan said in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha that the Center would not reduce any tax on petrol and diesel.

Even as he said that the government has no proposal to reduce taxes on fuels as it depends on many factors including the needs of the government and market conditions.
