10-year-old boy dies after tractor runs over him in Mohali, driver arrested; family demands action

PTC News Desk: In a tragic turn of events, 10-year-old boy lost his life in an accident after a sewer cleaning tractor ran over him in Mohali, killing him on the spot. When people tried to catch the tractor driver, he fled from the scene. However, the police later arrested him and also seized the tractor.
The deceased child has been identified as Shaurya Nishad, 10, who was a student of class 6.

Shaurya was the only son of his parents, and the family is devastated by the loss. According to the family, they had moved to Mohali from Uttar Pradesh eight years ago in search of work. Shaurya was a student of Class 6.
Police have taken the body into custody and started further legal proceedings. However, the family is demanding that a murder case be registered against the tractor driver alleging that when the boy was hit, the driver tried to drive away instead of stopping the tractor, which led to the child’s death.
