21-year-old State-level Hockey player stabbed to death in Chandigarh over property dispute
According to the police, the incident unfolded following a long-standing dispute between two families living in the same house over ownership of the property.
PTC News Desk: A 21-year-old state-level Hockey player was allegedly stabbed to death at her house in Chandigarh's Sector 38 following an argument over a property dispute.
The deceased has been identified as Tania.

In his complaint, Tania’s father Ravi, an auto-rickshaw driver, said that his sister and her family lived on the first floor of the house and that there had been long-standing tensions between the two families over ownership of the property.
Ravi alleged that his nephew Krishna frequently argued with him over the issue. On Thursday afternoon, another dispute broke out between the families. Ravi said he had gone upstairs to calm his sister’s family and was coming back when Tania went upstairs. He claimed that during the argument, Krishna along with Ravi, Gangan, Aniket, Naveen and Tina attacked Tania. In the scuffle, Krishna allegedly stabbed her near the waist with a knife, leaving her seriously injured.
Tania was immediately taken to a hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.
After receiving information, police from Chandigarh Police at Sector 39 Police Station reached the scene and registered a case based on the complaint filed by her father. Police said raids were being carried out to locate the accused.
The victim’s father said Tania had completed her graduation and was a hockey player. She was scheduled to leave on Friday to take part in a state-level tournament.
