PTC News Desk: A government school teacher was killed in broad daylight in Amritsar while he was returning after dropping her daughter off for the tuition classes. The victims was assaulted repeatedly with a sharp-edged weapons and his his throat was slit. He died on the spot due to excessive blood loss.
The deceased has been identified as Jagdeep Singh, a resident of Talwandi village.
His body was later found lying face down on the roadside, with signs of a violent attack evident at the scene.

After receiving information about the murder, family members and villagers rushed to the scene.
Family members said Jagdeep had no known disputes, enmity or personal conflicts with anyone. They described him as a soft-spoken person who was well-regarded in the community and dedicated to his work as a government teacher.
The police have launched an investigation and are collecting evidence from the area. Officials said all possible angles are being examined.
SI Manjeet Singh of Tarsikka Police Station confirmed that Jagdeep Singh had been murdered. Preliminary findings and evidence collected from the scene indicate that sharp-edged weapons were used in the attack.
He said police teams have thoroughly inspected the crime scene and are working to determine the motive behind the murder. Efforts are also underway to identify and arrest the attackers.
Investigators are examining CCTV footage from nearby locations and analysing other technical evidence in an attempt to gather leads and reconstruct the events surrounding the killing.
