PTC Web Desk: A tragic incident has been reported from Kalanaur town in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district, where an Army jawan was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside the washroom of a train while returning to duty.

The deceased has been identified as Prabhsharan Singh, a soldier of the 9 Punjab Sikh Regiment. He had earlier been posted in Jammu and was recently transferred to Meerut. According to family members, he had left home two days ago to resume duty after spending time with his family.

Speaking about the incident, Prabhsharan Singh’s father, Bhai Rajinder Singh Bhangoo, who himself served in the Army earlier, said the family had dropped him at Mukerian railway station before his journey.
