Chandigarh: Bomb threat email targetting Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann sent to Punjab Secretariat
Several teams of police officials and bomb disposal squad swung into action and evacuated the premises.
PTC News Desk: An email threatning to blow up Punjab Secretariat in Chandigarh was received on Thursday morning, triggereing panic among the employees. The mail targetting Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was sent to Punjab Secretariat office.
As a precautionary exercise, Haryana Secretariat was also evacuated.
Soon after receiving the information, rescue units reached the spot while maintaining heightened vigilance. Several teams of police officials and bomb disposal squad swung into action and evacuated the premises.
Earlier on Wednesday, several private and government schools in Chandigarh also received bomb threats email. The message created panic and chaos among the schol authorities and the parents, putting administration and police on high alert.
