Firing outside residence in Mohalis Phase 7 near NRI police station, probe on

PTC News Desk: Two bike-borne assailants opened fire at a house in Mohali’s Phase-7 early Friday morning, firing around 35 rounds and damaging three cars parked outside. The incident took place behind the Phase-7 police station and NRI police station in Phase-7.


According to the complainant Maninder Singh, CCTV footage showed two men stopping outside his house and firing continuously for about 40 seconds before fleeing the spot. Three cars belonging to neighbours were hit in the gunfire.


Singh, a retired government employee, said he has no enmity with anyone and doesn’t suspect any person.


After he alerted the police, a large team arrived at the scene and launched investigation into the matter. So far, no threat or ransom calls have been received.
