Earlier on Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann while addressing a press conference confirmed their deportation and said that the state government will help the deportees with documentation and rehabilitation measures upon their return.

The Chief Minister also indicated that some of the individuals may have faced legal issues in Australia. Without elaborating, he noted that violations of foreign laws inevitably invite action and stressed the need for greater awareness among those seeking opportunities overseas.
