Sardar Parkash Singh Badal, 5-time Punjab CM, no more; last rites on April 27

S. Parkash Badal Death: Former Punjab Chief Minister and Shiromani Akali Dal patron Sardar Parkash Singh Badal is no more. He was 95.

The last rites of the senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader will take place on April 27 at 1 pm. 

Moreover, the mortal remains of S Parkash Badal are to be brought to SAD head office at 10 AM on April 26 for Antim Darshan. The funeral procession will start at 12 pm from party head office and will move towards Badal village.

The SAD patriarch was in ICU at Fortis hospital in Mohali. He was admitted to the hospital on Sunday after he complained of difficulty in breathing.

The news of his demise was confirmed by the Personal Assistant of his son and party president Sukhbir Singh Badal. 

Earlier on Monday, he was under close observation in the ICU, at Fortis Hospital, Mohali.

Sardar Parkash Badal served as the Chief Minister of Punjab multiple times, from 1970-1971; from 1977-1980; from 1997-2002; and from 2007-2017.

The SAD patron was also the youngest Chief Minister to have ever hold office in Punjab.
