Haryana couple, one other killed in head-on collision between two cars in Punjabs Mansa; one critical

The impact of the collision was severe, resulting in the death of three occupants on the spot

PTC Web Desk: At least three persons, including a husband and wife, lost their lives in a tragic head-on collision between two cars at Khiala Kalan village of Mansa district in Punjab on Tuesday. Another youth sustained serious injuries and has been referred to a higher medical centre for advanced treatment.

According to initial information, the accident occurred when two Swift cars collided head-on near Khiala Kalan village. The impact of the collision was severe, resulting in the death of three occupants on the spot.

SMO Gurmeet Gurmel Singh confirmed that the deceased include Upkar Singh and his wife Supinder Kaur, residents of Ratia in Haryana. The couple was reportedly travelling towards Mansa when their car met with the accident. The third deceased has been identified as Balkar Singh, a resident of Khiala village, who was travelling in the other vehicle.

Balkar Singh’s friend, Amanpreet Singh, who was also in the same car, suffered critical injuries. Due to his serious condition, he was referred to a hospital outside Mansa for specialised treatment.

The Bhikhi police station has been informed about the incident, and further legal proceedings are underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
