Jalandhar Congress leader dies of heart attack, posted fitness video a day before death

PTC Web Desk: Senior Congress leader and fitness motivator Manoj Malhotra, popularly known as Manu Bading, passed away after suffering a heart attack in Jalandhar early Friday morning. He was in his early 40s.
According to family sources, Malhotra suffered a silent cardiac arrest around 4 am. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by family members, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. Sources said he had complained of severe chest pain shortly before collapsing.

A resident of Jalandhar’s Bading area, Malhotra served as the general secretary of the Punjab Congress and was considered a close aide of former Punjab Chief Minister and current Jalandhar MP Charanjit Singh Channi. He had been actively involved in politics for several years. His wife, Parvina, is also associated with public life and has served as a councillor.
Malhotra’s sudden death has triggered a wave of mourning within the Congress party. Senior party leaders and workers described his demise as an irreparable loss, remembering him as a dedicated leader, fitness enthusiast and youth motivator.
