Master Saleem’s father, Purun Shah Koti passes away at 72 after prolonged illness

PTC News Desk: In a tragic turn of events, Purun Shah Koti, the father of renowned Punjabi singer Master Saleem passed away on Monday. He breathed his last at the age of 72. e had been living with his son in Deol Nagar, Jalandhar. He had been unwell for the past few days and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Jalandhar.
Several notable Punjabi singers including Hansraj Hans and Jasbir Jassi were trained by Purun Shah Koti. Following his death, several artists from the Punjabi music and film industry, along with fans, have expressed deep sorrow. Condolences are being shared with Master Saleem and his family through social media.
Master Saleem’s father, Purun Shah Koti, was a mentor to several legendary singers. He also trained Punjabi singer and former MP Hansraj Hans in the art of singing. Many photographs of Hansraj Hans with him have surfaced, reflecting their close association.
