PTC News Desk: The court complexes in Ludhiana and Sri Fatehgarh Sahib have received bomb threat, prompting the authorities to evacuate the premises and suspension of judicial work for the day.

The police officials and security agencies have launched investigation and advised the people to stay away from the complex. The e-mails threatening to blow up the court complexes triggered panic among people with security significantly heightened.

Meanwhile, two schools in Moga district also received similar threats triggering swift evacuation of the school premises. Several teams of police officials were deployed at the scenes and students were barred from entering schools.

Former president of the Fatehgarh Sahib Bar Association and Shiromani Akali Dal spokesperson, advocate Amardeep Singh Dharni, raised serious questions about the law-and-order situation in Punjab. He said that such threats are being received almost daily from different places, which is spoiling the atmosphere in the state. He added that daylight murders are happening in Punjab, robberies and thefts have become common, and people no longer feel safe. He said that Punjab is turning into a “jungle raj.”
