Major bureaucratic reshuffle in Punjab; check list

PTC Web Desk: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Punjab Government on Thursday transferred several IAS and PCS officers across departments and districts. As per the official orders, nine senior officers have been assigned new responsibilities with immediate effect.

Arvind Kumar MK (IAS) has been given additional charge as Special Secretary, School Education Department and Director General, School Education, while continuing as Director, Treasuries and Accounts.

Girish Dayalan (IAS) has been appointed Registrar, Cooperative Societies. He was earlier serving as Director General, School Education and Director General, Higher Education.

Harpreet Singh Sudan (IAS) will now serve as Special Secretary, Revenue, and has also been assigned dual roles as Director, Sports and Youth Services Department and Director, Higher Education Department.

Rakesh Kumar Popli (PCS) has been appointed Additional Chief Administrator, Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA) and also as Additional Chief Administrator, Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA), SAS Nagar.

Amit Sareen (PCS) has been given the charge of Joint Secretary, Defence Services Welfare Department and also appointed as Secretary, Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB). Ankur Mahindroo (PCS) has been posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Mukerian.

Vikas Heera (PCS) has been appointed as Additional Chief Administrator, Ludhiana Area Development Authority (LADA).

Harjot Kaur (PCS), earlier serving as Assistant Commissioner (General), Ferozepur, has now been posted as SDM, Patiala.

Gurdev Singh Dham (PCS), earlier SDM, Patiala, will now take charge as Field Officer to the Chief Minister and Assistant Commissioner (General), Ferozepur.
