PTC News Desk: Days after Sarabjit Kaur's return was held back by the Pakistan government, an audio clip of the Sikh woman is doing rounds on social media where she can be heard pleading to return.

In the audio, she is heard crying and pleading to return home while allegedly speaking to her ex-husband. She says she went to Pakistan to get her photos removed that were allegedly in possession of Nasir Hussain.

Kaur, 48, who now goes by the name Noor Hussain after converting to Islam and getting married in Lahore, is currently in the custody of Pakistani authorities. She had travelled to Pakistan in November 2025 as part of a Sikh pilgrimage group visiting Nankana Sahib for Guru Nanak Dev’s birth anniversary.

However, she did not return to India with the rest of the group. During her stay in Pakistan, she converted to Islam, married a man named Nasir Hussain, and changed her name to Noor Hussain. Her visa expired on November 13, 2025—the same day the other pilgrims came back to India. On January 4, she was arrested for staying in Pakistan illegally after her visa ran out.

She has also filed a petition asking for Pakistani citizenship and protection, saying that she fears her life would be in danger if she returns to India.
