Shah Rukh Khan to return to silver screen, says 'better late than never'

Mumbai, March 2: The wait is finally over as Shah Rukh Khan has announced his comeback to the big screen with 'Pathaan', which is set to hit cinemas on January 25, 2023.

SRK surprised his fans on Wednesday by unveiling the first teaser and release date for his next film, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham

"I know it's late... But remember the date... Pathaan time starts now... See you in cinemas on 25th January, 2023. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Celebrate #Pathaan with #YRF50 only at a big screen near you," Bollywood's King Khan tweeted.

'King Khan' set for a comeback

The teaser begins with John and Deepika introducing SRK's character as a man on a mission, following this Shah Rukh makes his entry by walking out of the shadows in a white shirt and can be seen speaking about his love for the country.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, 'Pathaan' is touted as an action-thriller.

SRK was last seen in the 2018 film 'Zero', co-starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.

Yash Raj Films announced the release date of this high-octane spy thriller through a specially shot date announcement video that contains no film footage.

The video, which has now gone viral, shows SRK's much-discussed 'Pathaan' makeover, increasing the curiosity of his fans who are eager to see him in his new look.
