World Tuberculosis Day is an opportunity to raise awareness about the seriousness of the disease and to promote action to prevent it. Every year, organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and Stop TB Partnership come together to advocate for TB prevention, treatment and care.

On World Tuberculosis Day, individuals and organizations around the world come together to honor those who have been affected by TB and to remember those who have lost their lives to the disease. Events are held to raise awareness and commemorate those who have suffered from TB, as well as to promote action to reduce the spread of the disease.

The theme of this year’s World Tuberculosis Day is “The Clock is Ticking”. This theme is meant to emphasize the urgency of the situation and to call for greater action and investment to end TB.

The WHO has set a goal of eliminating TB by 2030. To achieve this goal, greater access to diagnosis, treatment and care must be ensured in order to eliminate TB and its devastating impact on individuals and communities around the world.

World Tuberculosis Day is an important day to remember those affected by TB, to honor their memory and to take action to prevent the spread of the disease. Let us all join in the fight against TB and work together to make this goal a reality.
