Ayodhya is approximately 130 km from Lucknow, 200 km from Varanasi, 160 km from Prayagraj, 140 km from Gorakhpur, and 636 km from Delhi. Regular bus services from Delhi, Gorakhpur, and Lucknow provide a well-connected road network. Additionally, scheduled buses are available from Prayagraj, Varanasi and other nearby cities.

Ayodhya boasts excellent rail connectivity through its two major railway stations, Faizabad and Ayodhya. The railway network links Ayodhya to major cities and towns, with distances of 196 miles from Varanasi, 157 km from Allahabad, 137 km from Lucknow, and 171 km from Gorakhpur. The recent introduction of the Vande Bharat Train from Delhi to Ayodhya highlights the Indian Railways' commitment to enhancing accessibility. Nearly 200 Aastha Special train services are in the pipeline, ensuring seamless connectivity with operational stoppages. These trains, set to run for 100 days post the Ram Mandir opening ceremony, will connect 66 different places across the nation to Ayodhya.

For those seeking a faster mode of travel, Ayodhya is well-served by its airport, officially named Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhya Dham. This international airport caters to the twin cities of Ayodhya and Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh. Conveniently located, it allows easy access for travellers from Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, and Varanasi airports. International travellers can seamlessly book domestic flights or trains to Ayodhya from major hubs like New Delhi or Mumbai. Several foreign airlines also provide direct connections to Lucknow, enhancing the city's accessibility for global visitors.
