PTC Web Desk:  In a world where small acts of kindness often go unnoticed, one Indian-origin postman in Australia has set Internet on fire for his thoughtful gesture. A woman named Verrity Wandel from Queensland shared her CCTV footage showing the moment her local postman, later identified as Gurpreet Singh, went beyond his duty after delivering a parcel.

Just as rain began to pour, Gurpreet noticed clothes hanging on the line. Instead of simply walking away, he took a moment to carefully remove the bedsheets from the clothesline and placed them safely inside, ensuring they stayed dry. Alongside her parcel, Verrity found her laundry “99% dry” when she returned home.

Sharing the clip on social media, Verrity wrote: “I was heading home in the car when the heavens opened and thought—there goes the sheets! But when I got home, there was nothing on the line. On the bench sat my parcel and my almost dry washing. We checked the cameras and saw this beautiful act. One in a million! This guy is so cool. Can’t wait for my next delivery so I can thank him.” Later, Verrity reposted the video while posing with Gurpreet Singh himself.

The video quickly went viral, amassing millions of views and even a like from Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra.

Social media users were touched, with comments pouring in: “Beautiful randomness of kindness. Very rare these days.”

“It might be 1 in a million in your country, but it’s part of our culture in Asia. Glad you got to experience this.”

“Love how you posted it online! Proud of you and the man who was kind.”

The heartwarming act has not only highlighted everyday humanity but also showcased the values of Sikh culture and kindness that transcend borders.
