Australia announce 14-man squad for ODI series against India; Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis dropped

Cricket Australia (CA) on Tuesday announced Australia’s 14-man squad for three-match ODI series against India, which is scheduled to be held in January 2020. Australia has brought major changes to the squad as compared to its ICC World Cup 2019 squad. Usman Khawaja, Shaun Marsh, Marcus Stoinis, Nathan Lyon, Nathan Coulter-Nile and Glenn Maxwell have been dropped whereas Jason Behrendorff was not picked due to the ongoing injury issues. https://twitter.com/cricketcomau/status/1206743297193988096?s=20 Test player Marnus Labuschagne, who climbed into the top five of ICC Test Rankings for batsmen, courtesy his form with the bat in the longest format of the game, has received his maiden ODI call-up. Labuschagne will join the likes of David Warner, Aaron Finch and Steve Smith at the top order with Ashton Turner and Peter Handscomb in the middle-order option, whereas, Alex Carey will continue with his wicket-keeping. Meanwhile, Adam Zampa and Ashton Turner will be the spin duo with Labuschagne being the third spin bowling option.
