Pritpal Singh Baliawal, Chief Spokesperson of Punjab Lok Congress took to his twitter and said, “Is Bhagwant Mann so attention hungry that he will gloat about anything? Officially it was the last day that the Sangrur-Ludhiana toll plaza was to be operational today and lo & behold the CM thought let's go and claim that it's him that has taken such a historic decision. Mann Saab pls do some real work, our youth is dying everyday from drug overdose, unemployed youth are being beaten by ur police and you are gloating abt such trivial things.” Patiala’s Dr. Dharamvir Gandhi, who was earlier a member of the Aam Aadmi Party and former member of parliament in Facebook post said, “Drama of closing Dhuri toll plaza is a waste of people's money. There is no need to waste state money by doing drama everywhere Bhagwant Mann Ji. Bhagwant Mann, who is talking about stopping Dhuri tolls, is actually fooling the people of Punjab. Contract of this toll ends on September 4, 2022 i.e. contract expires today. As soon as Bhagwant Mann came to know, he reached there to spread the news that I have closed the tolls. Chief Minister is wasting people's money by doing government programs without any reason. Neither government employees got salary this month, nor MSP of Mungi, nor did the government do anything about more than 1 lakh animals died of  lumpy skin. There is an emphasis on dramas and just on advertisements.”(SIC) Earlier, while congratulating the area residents, CM Bhagwant Mann said,  “Toll authorities wanted six-month extension, but the state government refused”. -PTC News
