Big jolt to Punjab Congress as several key leaders join BJP
Chandigarh, June 4: Former Congress ministers Balbir Sidhu, Dr Raj Kumar Verka, Shyam Sunder Arora and Gurpreet Kangar on Saturday joined the BJP in the presence of senior party leaders. Former senior Congress leader Kewal Dhillon also joined the BJP.
Among others who also joined the BJP are former Congress MLA Amrik Dhillon, former SAD MLA Sarup Chand Singla and expelled SAD leader Mohinder Kaur Josh.

Earlier, in a tweet, Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring targeted the BJP for making these leaders join the party.
Sitting Mayor of the Congress in Mohali, Amarjeet Singh Sidhu, who is brother of Balbir Singh Sidhu, also joined the BJP. Earlier, Former Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sunil Jakhar, who had recently joined the BJP, shared a video of the former ministers sitting with him in Panchkula.
BJP’s Sikh face Manjinder Singh Sirsa could also be seen at the meeting along with BJP leader Arvind Khanna.

The induction of the senior leaders of the Punjab Congress into the BJP would be a big shot in the arm for the BJP as all of them are grassroots leaders with a strong connect with workers.
