New Delhi, March 16: After a series of meetings at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence to discuss the leadership issue, the Bharatiya Janata Party is likely to retain the incumbent Chief Ministers of Goa and Manipur - Pramod Sawant and N Biren Singh- for second terms, said sources.
Current Goa CM Pramod Sawant will remain at the top post and N Biren Singh will head the government in Manipur again. The swearing-in ceremony for both leaders will be held after Holi.
Meanwhile, the two BJP leaders met PM Modi on Wednesday.
For the unversed, BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate in Uttar Pradesh was confirmed, however, there was suspense over the top posts in Goa and Manipur.

In Manipur, the saffron party won a majority, reducing other parties to single digits. The BJP won 32 of Manipur's 60 assembly seats on its own.
Furthermore, Pramod Sawant is likely to meet Union home minister Amit Shah, BJP chief JP Nadda and party national general secretary BL Santhosh and other leaders to discuss the formation of the new BJP government in Goa.
On Tuesday, Nadda and Santhosh also met Manipur caretaker chief minister Biren Singh, state election in-charge Bhupender Yadav and in-charge Sambit Patra and discussed the formation of a new government in the Northeastern state.
From 2017 to 2022, N Biren Singh was the Chief Minister of Manipur. Following the death of Manohar Parrikar in March 2019, Pramod Sawant was appointed Chief Minister of Goa.
