Boxing coach Gurbax Singh Sandhu expresses solidarity with agitating farmers

Farmers Protest: Former national boxing coach Gurbax Singh Sandhu has announced that he will be returning his Dronacharya Award in support of agitating farmers protesting against the farm laws 2020. Amid farmers protest at Delhi borders against the farm laws 2020, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is all set to meet Amit Shah. The Gurbax Singh Sandhu was awarded the Dronacharya Award —the highest national award in the field of coaching. Farmers Protest: Boxing coach Gurbax Singh Sandhu announced that he will be returning his Dronacharya Award in protest against farm laws 2020. He started coaching the Indian National Team in 1993. In the 2008 Summer Olympics, the Indian team under his guidance brought a medal to India when Vijender Singh had won the bronze medal. He also helped several Indian boxers to boost their performances in World Championship. Farmers Protest: Boxing coach Gurbax Singh Sandhu announced that he will be returning his Dronacharya Award in protest against farm laws 2020. He left coaching for boxing in India in July 2013.
