Britney Spears, Sam Asghari announce miscarriage with heartbreaking note
Washington (US), May 15: American singer Britney Spears has announced the "devastating" news of her miscarriage on social media.
Last month, the 40-year-old pop star revealed that she is expecting a baby with her fiance Sam Asghari.
On Saturday, Britney took to her Instagram handle and shared a heartbreaking post regarding the tragic development of her pregnancy.
"It is with deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy. This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along however we were overly excited to share the good news. Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family," a note signed by 'Sam & Britney' read.
"We are grateful for what we have in the process of expanding our beautiful family. Thank you for your support," she said in the caption.

The pop star initially announced her pregnancy on April 11 through an Instagram post.
As per Variety, Britney's conservatorship got terminated after more than 13 years in November 2021. Before the judge terminated the legal arrangement, Britney testified in front of the court, claiming 'conservatorship abuse.'
Her desire to start a family with her fiance, which she said was hindered by her conservators, as well as her wish to remove her birth control device, were all part of the legal agreement.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pop star has two sons, Sean, 16, and Jaden, 15, whom she shares with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
