Chandigarh: Punjab magistrate dies in road accident

Chandigarh Road Accident: In a major road accident, a 31-year-old Punjab judicial magistrate Sahil Singla died and three others were injured after a car they were travelling in, rammed into a pole on the sector 16/23 dividing road during the wee hours on Friday. The injured, including the magistrate, were rushed to a government hospital in sector 16. However, the magistrate, Sahil Singla, was later referred to PGI where doctors declared Singla brought dead. Meanwhile, Singla's friend, who is a lawyer, was admitted to Fortis hospital in Mohali. As per the sources, the victim was returning from a wedding. The report suggested that they were staying at the Judicial Academy in Sector 43 and they left for the night food street at around 1:30 am. Singla's 32-year-old friend was in Innova, while his wife , Radhika, along with few friends were following in a car when the accident occured on the road dividing sector 16 and 23 in Chandigarh.
