Sangrur youth found dead in a park, pistol recovered from the spot
The body of a youth with a bullet injury in the stomach was found under mysterious circumstances at Sector 20 on Monday evening. The youth was identified as a 25-year-old. The police received information around 7.30 pm about the body lying near a school in Sector 20-D. The police found the victim with a bullet injury after which he was shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where doctors declared him brought dead. The police said a bag containing a pistol was found at the spot, which had been taken into custody. Two mobile phones were also found near the body. The police said the victim had been identified as Pushpinder, a resident of Sangrur, Punjab. The police said they got to know that the victim was taking coaching for IELTS in the city.
