Cold wave conditions are likely to continue in Punjab in the next 3-4 days, as per the weather forecast issued by the regional meteorological department.

Punjab is also reeling under the cold spell and the mercury is likely to fall in the coming days with minimum temperatures likely to remain around 3-4 degree Celsius.

Amritsar in Punjab shivered at 1.8 degrees Celsius, down by two degrees on Saturday. Chandigarh settled at at 4.8 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal whereas Ludhiana recorded a minimum temperature of 4.5 degrees Celsius.

In Haryana, Hisar recorded a minimum temperature of 2.9 degrees Celsius.

The regional meteorological department has forecast rain during next 48 hours. Due to dense fog, visibility less than less than 50 meters visibility likely to occur in isolated parts during next 48 to 72 hours.
