Coronavirus Punjab: DC Ludhiana imposes lockdown in these two areas

Coronavirus Punjab Lockdown News: In the wake of rising coronavirus cases in the district, the Ludhiana DC on Sunday imposed a lockdown in two areas of the district. The District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma informed that due to the high number of COVID-19 positive cases in the areas, Urban estate phase 1, Dugri, and Urban estate phase 2, Dugri, Ludhiana, have been declared as containment zones. He said that there will be lockdown in these two areas of Ludhiana and will be sealed 100 percent with effect from 9 pm today, i.e. on April 18 till further orders. He said that a containment zone is formed when 15 positive cases were reported in a particular area, but more than 70 cases were being reported in Urban estate phase 1, Dugri and Urban estate phase 2, Dugri, Ludhiana, recently. He further appealed to the residents of these two areas to make appropriate preparations accordingly in the interval period of the next 7 hours provided by the District Administration.
