Punjab Government releases helpline numbers for all the districts
In the wake of coronavirus outbreak, the Punjab Government on Tuesday released the helpline numbers for all the districts amid curfew in the state. While imposing curfew in the state, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had said "Entire world is under threat of COVID 19 and we in Punjab are no different. Difficult times call for difficult decisions."
He added that "Hence for the good of everyone, curfew has been imposed. We have already taken necessary steps to help elderly & underprivileged. All must adhere & cooperate."
The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Punjab stands at 29. Six fresh cases were reported on Tuesday, three each from Nawanshahr and Phillaur in Jalandhar.
