New Delhi, April 3: As the downward trend of Covid-19 cases in India continues, 1,096 new infections were recorded in the country in the last 24 hours, as per the Union Health Ministry. With this, the active caseload stands at 13,013, constituting 0.03 percent of the country's total positive cases. "There has been a sustained fall in the weekly and daily positivity rates too," read a press release issued by the Ministry. The weekly positivity rate in India currently stands at 0.23 percent, while the daily positivity rate was reported to be 0.24 percent.

In the previous 24 hours, 1,447 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered patients since the start of the pandemic to 4,24,93,773.
