Covid-19: India logs 1,581 fresh cases, 33 deaths in last 24 hours

India Covid-19 update: India recorded 1,549 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, taking the infection tally to 43,010,971. The active caseload in India now stands at 23,913, according to the update by the Union health ministry. Over the course of 24 hours, the active Covid-19 caseload was reduced by 1,193 cases. While, the Covid-19 death toll jumped to 5,16,543 with 33 new infection fatalities, informed the health ministry at 8 am, Tuesday.

According to the government, active cases account for 0.06 percent of total infections, with a national Covid-19 recovery rate of 98.74 percent. The total number of doses administered in the country as part of the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination effort has surpassed 181.56 crore.
