PTC Web Desk: Get ready for spooky laughs and classic comic chaos: 'Bhooth Bangla' is officially unlocking its doors next summer. One of the most anticipated horror comedies, the film will arrive in cinemas on May 15, 2026, and fans couldn’t be more excited.
The buzz around 'Bhooth Bangla' is driven largely by the much-celebrated reunion of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan, who are teaming up again after 14 long years. Known for delivering some of Bollywood’s most iconic comedies, the duo’s return has already sparked massive curiosity among moviegoers.
The makers announced the release date by unveiling the film’s first poster on social media, cheekily captioned: “Bangle se ek khabar aayi hai! The doors open on 15th May 2026. See you in cinemas.” The playful line instantly caught attention and set Internet buzzing.
Adding serious star power to the project is its ensemble cast, featuring Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta, Asrani and Wamiqa Gabbi alongside Akshay Kumar. With such a mix of seasoned performers and crowd-favourite comic actors, expectations are sky-high for a laughter-packed cinematic ride.
Shot across picturesque locations in Rajasthan, Jaipur, and Hyderabad, Bhooth Bangla promises not just humour and horror, but also rich visuals that enhance the film’s eerie-yet-entertaining mood.
Directed by Priyadarshan, the film is backed by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, along with Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films. The project is co-produced by Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali. The story has been written by Akash A Kaushik, while the screenplay comes from Priyadarshan, Abilash Nair, and Rohan Shankar, who has also penned the dialogues.
