Good news for Disney fans; 'Toy Story', 'Frozen' sequels to be out soon
Washington (US), February 9: Disney has good news for 'Toy Story' and 'Frozen' fans. Disney has announced sequels to 'Toy Story' and 'Frozen'.
Following the news of layoffs and losses, Disney CEO Bob Iger made several significant announcements for fans on Wednesday during the company's earnings call for the year-end 2022 quarter. Iger confirmed that two new sequels to popular franchises, 'Toy Story' and 'Frozen,' were in the works. A sequel to the animated film 'Zootopia' has also been announced, according to Variety.
The 'Toy Story' franchise has four theatrical chapters and one spin-off, 'Lightyear,' which was released in 2022. Despite the fact that the latter film was a box office flop, 'Toy Story 3' and 'Toy Story 4' both grossed more than USD 1 billion worldwide.

Meanwhile, the first 'Frozen' film was a box-office success when it debuted in 2013, and the sequel 'Frozen II' grossed more than USD 1.4 billion worldwide in 2019. Aside from the films, the franchise has inspired a Disney on Ice performance, a Broadway musical, and a variety of short films, television specials, and novels.
Iger also announced that Pandora will be coming to the West Coast in the form of 'Avatar' Experience at Disneyland in Anaheim, according to Variety.
'Pandora - The World of Avatar' is currently a section of Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando dedicated to James Cameron's works, with two rides: 'Avatar Flight of Passage' and 'Na'vi River Journey.'
Meanwhile, on February 5, 'Avatar: The Way of Water' surpassed 'Titanic' to become the third most successful foreign film in history, according to Variety. Cameron plans to release three additional 'Avatar' films in the coming years.
