Punjabi singer Khan Saab’s mother Salma Praveen passes away; singer cancels Canada show
PTC Web Desk: Salma Parveen, mother of popular Punjabi singer Khan Saab, passed away at a private hospital in Chandigarh. She had been battling illness for several days and was under medical supervision.
At the time of her passing, Khan Saab was in Canada for a show. Upon receiving the news, he cancelled his performance and is returning to Punjab. The funeral rites will be performed once he reaches home.
Family sources said despite continuous medical treatment, her condition did not improve, and she breathed her last during treatment.
Known for her religious values and friendly nature, Salma Parveen was considered an inspiration to her family. Her demise has left a deep void in the family. Friends and relatives noted that Khan Saab shared a very close bond with his mother and often mentioned her during public appearances. He also frequently shared videos with her on social media.
Khan Saab, born Imran Khan in Kapurthala, Punjab, adopted his stage name while collaborating with Punjabi singer Garry Sandhu. He suggested the name “Khan Saab,” which he has since carried in the Punjabi music industry. Khan Saab revealed this story on 'The Kapil Sharma Show'.
