Mohit Suri’s 'Saiyaara' storms box office with Rs 105.75 crore in 4 days, becomes Gen-Z favourite
PTC Web Desk: Director Mohit Suri’s emotional romantic drama 'Saiyaara' is turning into a blockbuster phenomenon. Featuring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film has raced past the Rs 100 crore milestone in just four days, making it one of the fastest grossers of 2025.
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Saiyaara collected Rs 22.50 crore on Monday alone, taking its total domestic box office collection to Rs 105.75 crore. While the Monday earnings saw a mild drop, the overall performance has been nothing short of spectacular.
The film opened to a strong Rs 21.5 crore on Day 1 and peaked on Sunday with a whopping Rs 35.75 crore — its highest single-day earning so far. With these numbers, Saiyaara has overtaken the lifetime box office of Kesari Chapter 2 (Rs 92 crore) and Jaat (Rs 88 crore), firmly placing itself in the top-grossing films of the year.
Produced by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara follows the emotional journey of Krish Kapoor (Ahaan Panday), an aspiring musician, and Vaani Batra (Aneet Padda), a budding writer battling early-onset Alzheimer’s. The heart-wrenching love story, paired with soul-stirring music and raw performances, has struck a chord with Gen-Z audiences.
Thanks to its gripping storyline, emotional depth, and melodious soundtrack, Saiyaara has created massive buzz across social media and cinema halls alike. It also ranks among the top five opening weekends of 2025 and is now the seventh highest-grossing film of the year so far.
As Saiyaara continues its dream run, all eyes are on how far it will climb in the weeks ahead. One thing’s for sure — Bollywood has found its next big love story, and a pair of promising new stars to watch.
