Thailand's Opal Suchata Crowned Miss World 2025
PTC News Desk: Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri has been crowned Miss World 2025, receiving the title from Miss World 2024, Krystyna Pyszkova, during the grand finale held on May 31 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad.
Hasset Dereje of Ethiopia was named first runner-up, while Poland’s Maja Klajda took the second runner-up spot. Aurlie Joachim from Martinique rounded out the top four.
Who is Miss World 2025, Opal Suchata Chuangsri?
Originally from Phuket, Opal is a student of international relations and works as a model. She is a passionate advocate for breast cancer awareness. Her mission began at age 16 after she discovered a benign lump in her breast, motivating her to promote early detection and awareness in Thailand.
For the Miss World finale, Opal wore a shimmering gown she described as a tribute to her campaign, ‘Opal For HER’. The outfit symbolized strength, transformation, and inner beauty—qualities she likened to the gemstone opal.
