Tunisha Sharma last rites: Family, friends bid final goodbye
Mumbai (Maharashtra), December 27: Family and friends of late actor Tunisha Sharma bid her final goodbye as her last rites were performed on Tuesday at Mira Road cremation ground in Mumbai.
Tunisha allegedly died by suicide on the sets of a TV serial Alibaba - Dastaan-e-Kabul on Saturday.
Tunisha's mother, Vanita Sharma, burst into tears as her final rites were performed, and she was inconsolable.
Kanwar Dhillon, Reem Shaikh, Ashnoor Kaur, Avneet Kaur, Siddharth Nigam, Abhishek Nigam, Shivin Narang, Vishal Jethwa, and other actors attended her funeral.
On Saturday, Tunisha was found hanging on the set of her ongoing TV show Alibaba - Dastaan-e-Kabul. A day later, her ex-boyfriend and show co-star Sheezan Khan was arrested on charges of abetting suicide. According to reports, Khan and Tunisha split up 15 days ago. Sharma was reportedly hospitalised a few months ago after suffering from anxiety attacks. The actress suffered from depression and anxiety in 2018.

Police found no suicide note at the scene.
Earlier on Monday, the deceased actor's mother accused the prime suspect in her daughter's death case, Sheezan Khan, of cheating on her and breaking his promise to marry her, and urged the police not to spare him.
Vanita Sharma accused Tunisha's ex-boyfriend, Sheezan, of cheating on her and breaking up with her despite promising to marry her.
Tunisha's mother stated in a statement, "Sheezan cheated on Tunisha. Started a relationship with her first, promised her of marriage and then broke up with her."
"He (Sheezan) had involvement with another girl, while he was in a relationship with Tunisha," she added.
"He used her for three or four months," Tunisha Sharma's mother said, adding that Sheezan should face the consequences.
The police are now investigating the reason behind her alleged suicide.
