Punjab government has decided to toughen its stand by adopting the legislation to counter the farm laws 2020.

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Rana KP said that the session on farm bills would be held on October 20.
Meanwhile, Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Gurpartap Singh Wadala said that the Punjab government has made a joke with the farmers by not introducing the bill to counter farm laws 2020 during the Punjab Vidhan Sabha's Special Session.

Senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia along with SAD legislature party president Sharanjit Singh Dhillon ride tractors to Punjab Vidhan Sabha on the 1st day of the two-day special session.
The SAD also raised slogans against the Congress government for being stopped outside the Bhavan, calling it was a sham exercise and demanding copies of the Bill.
The Speaker also said that during a meeting of the Business Committee, it was decided that the farm-related bills would be introduced tomorrow.
The Vidhan Sabha will now resume at 10 am on Tuesday.
In the meanwhile, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sunil Jakhar tweeted: "Punjab Vidhan Sabha should pass a unanimous resolution condemning the humiliating treatment meted out to the farmers' representatives by Modi government in Delhi. In doing so BJP has insulted not just the farming community but Punjab itself."
