Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Fazilka constituency is located in the Fazilka district of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Davinder Singh Ghubaya from Congress won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of Fazilka. He won the 2017 elections by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Surjit Kumar Jiyani with a margin of just 265 votes. Voters According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 1,63,986. 198 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections. A total of 1,42,199 votes were cast in the Fazilka constituency and the percentage was 86.71%, which was recorded higher than the state average. Candidates Independent candidate Rajdeep Kaur, Aam Aadmi Party's Samarbir Singh Sidhu, Bharatiya Janata Party's Surjit Kumar Jiyani and Congress' Davinder Singh Ghubaya were MLA candidates for the Fazilka constituency in the 2017 Punjab assembly elections. BJP at that time had an alliance with Shiromani Akali Dal. Davinder Singh Ghubaya (Congress) grabbed 39,276 votes, while Surjit Kumar Jyani (BJP) got 39,011 votes.
