Fire breaks out in lounge of Mumbai airport, under control : Fire broke out in the lounge of the Mumbai on Saturday. According to the sources a fire fighting team could manage to control the fire timely that prevented any damage. The operations at the airport continued to be normal. Reports coming in say that no news of causalities or injured had witnessed so far.Fire breaks out in lounge of Mumbai airport , under controlP.S. Rahangdale, Director, Maharashtra Fire Services said that the fire broke out in the ceremonial lounge at airport's Terminal 1A at around 1.46 pm and was completely doused in about 90 minutes. Three fire tenders came to control the fire to prevent any untoward incident, he added. P.S. Rahangdale, director, Maharashtra Fire Services.

He further said the cause for the fire was yet to be ascertained. This is the fourth such incident of fire in Mumbai in last two weeks. It is to be mentioned that seven shops were gutted after a massive fire broke out at Reay Road in the city on January 4 whereas in another incident a blaze at Kamala Mills compound claimed 14 lives on December 29.
