Former Punjab Minister and Chhattisgarh Governor Balramji Dass Tandon Dies at 90 in Raipur Former Punjab Minister and Chhattisgarh Governor Balramji Dass Tandon passed away on Tuesday around 2 PM. Tandon was admitted to the Raipur Medical College late on Monday after he complained of uneasiness. He was put on Life Support system here early on Tuesday. Tandon was shifted to ICU after his condition further deteriorated. Tandon was one of the founder members of the Jansangh. It later became the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) following which he became the governor of Chhattisgarh in July 2014. He has served on various posts, including as deputy chief minister of Punjab. -PTC NEWS
